Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed is recovering from offseason hip surgery and he is expected to be placed on the physically-unable-to-perform list, missing the first six games of the season. Reed had estimated in a recent radio interview he was only 35 percent healthy. He said Tuesday his rehab is a slow process. With training camp drawing near, the chances of Reed landing on the PUP list increased. Reed, 31, missed four games during December because of a variety of injuries, including problems with his neck, hip and groin."I'm going to get out there when I feel good. I can't give you a date. I don't know," Reed said.Ravens veterans are schedule to report to training camp on July 28. But it seems that Ed Reed is not healthy enough to join the camp on time. And it is likely that the Ravens will miss him at the beginning of the season.Once Ed Reed is well and ready, he will be back. At this moment, he should focus on reconstructing his whole hip. |
